FATHER TIM THANKS everyone praying for our parish cluster. We all help to keep the Catholic faith alive in our area. Please keep Fr. Tim and all the priests of our Diocese in your prayers. Cluster Prayer

Thank you to our Glenmary Knights of Columbus Council 7853 for all their fund raising efforts that assist people in our area and throughout the world.

WE WALK BY FAITH Our parish cluster reps met with Dawn Critchfield from the Diocesan Office about implementing We Walk By Faith in our cluster. We agreed that each of our parishes would review the questions once again for Word, Worship, Community, and Service. This could be done at a meeting after Mass on each topic once a month.

The following is from the We Walk By Faith page on the Diocese of Richmond Web site:

The goal of this process is to empower parishes by providing tools to conduct parish self assessments, based on the feedback from the “people in the pews.” This process allows the parish to grow in many ways, as a Church community. It gives a voice to those that have not shared their untapped talents or gifts. It promotes Christ’s mission as reflected in each parishes’ mission/vision statement. It is an opportunity to strengthen those areas in need of strengthening. Ultimately, the goal is to improve our relationship with Jesus and one another through “word”, “worship”, “community”, and “service”. Self reflection and improvement is an on-going practice, as such the Bishop will be following up on how the “needs” outlined in the parish report are given attention.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES at St. Anthony's Every Sunday. All cluster children are welcome to attend.

Catechesis  is an education in the faith of children, young people and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life.
